Issue when admin language is different from site default language

My team is currently managing a large Multi-Site website created in WordPress. Each site in the Multi-Site is set in a different language with respects to its given regional area.

The problem we are having is that, since we are a US based company managing this site, we have to set the admin language to English. However, the site language is set to the native language for that subsite. When the two languages are not the same, we get issues with a lot of the built-in WordPress options such as media uploader, text editor, visual editor, etc. When we switch the languages to be the same, all the problems seem to go away (as well as all console errors). We were wondering if this is a known issue and if there are any fixes for this problem.

    Thanks
    Paul

    Hi Paul,

The account you are logged in to doesn’t own any WordPress.com sites. Can you send a link to the site you need help with?

    Thanks!

Absolutely, the site I am working with is https://itslearning.com.

Please let me know if you require any additional info

  • Hi Paul,

Looks like you’re in the wrong forum. itslearning.com is using the self-hosted version of WordPress and you need to seek help at the WordPress.org forums:

    https://wordpress.org/support/

These forums are for WordPress.com hosted sites only. If you want to know more about the differences between WordPress.com and WordPress.org you can read this document:
