Issue with Copy All option when I want to copy text from a draft to paste into email
-
Hi, I am corresponding with a couple of people on a post – they are entering comments on my content, so I need to be able to send them drafts in progress. I want to copy the whole of a post into an email so they can enter their comments and return it to me.
This used to be no problem, but now the blocks separate everything, I have to use Copy All, and when I paste it shows up (in HTML?) with all the formatting showing, when I just want it to paste as text.
How can I Copy All and paste into the body of an email as readable text? -
Hello there,
Many thanks for reaching out.
You may wish to consider making drafts in Google Docs, for copying, editing and commenting.
The reason being is that there’s a WordPress.com addon for Google Docs, as seen here: https://wordpress.com/support/wordpress-com-add-on-for-google-docs/
I hope this is useful.

Thank you…. I don’t know if my collaborators have Google Docs, though. Would it work if I switched it back to Classic just to be able to copy the text in a draft?

I found this which looked helpful https://gutenberghub.com/how-to-switch-between-wordpress-classic-editor-and-gutenberg/ but when I went to my Settings and then Writing, it didn’t have the option to switch between editors.
