Issue with delete page (exist on web but does not exist on “edit pages” list)

    I have got problem with delete page, which you can see on http://naszbratgrzes.wordpress.com/
    page name is: “Strona główna”. The issue is that when I go to edit blog–>naszbratgrzes–> “Edit Pages” than I can see only 3 pages on list (all of them are OK), but when I look on my web page there are 4 pages, there is one more page called “Strona główna”, this page does not exist on “edit pages” list, so I would like to delete it but I cannot do it…

    The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    You seem to have your blog set up with a Static Page for the front page of your blog, as a result the “Home” page is showing up twice. You can’t delete the “Home” page, but to hide it by making it a “child page” of one of the other “parent pages”.

    Yes I have got my front page called “Jak to się stało…” setup as a static page (done according to the documentation)- this is my “home” page. Your propose is to make page “Jak to się stało…” –>”child page”-but when I did it my home page called “Jak to się stało…” disappear, but still exist “Strona główna” (contains text from “Jak to się stało…” ). I would like to make “Strona główna” invisible not “Jak to się stało…”.

    Does it mean that name of home page is hardcoded “Strona główna”(direct translation is:Home Page) and I cannot change name of it?

    In the documetation there is nothing about it… example contain pages with the same names “Home” and “Home” and I agree in this case it will work… but my case contains pages with different names.

    Yes it means “Home” is hardcoded and you can’t change it. You can live with it or you can switch to a theme with no such tab – relevant list here:
