Issue with domain mapping. Please Help.

So over the past few days, I and my team have been trying to find out why our site hasn’t been pointing to our server and I finally came across a post by a WordPress staff that many people are facing this issue. The same issue which says that “domain mapping upgrade not found”. Since I am hosting on a third part, I ended up buying a separate domain meanwhile. But I want my domain manipalthetalk.net back because it is my brand.

Please take a look and help me out.

    Cheers.

  • Hi,

The issue is indeed a bit related, as the domain expired quite a while ago.

However, I couldn’t find ‘manipalthetalk.net’ under your username ‘landmarkkw’. Can you please reply to this thread from the correct account/email?

I’m also sending an email to the correct address/account which currently owns the domain, to detail what’s going on and how to proceed.

    Hi Ehtis,

Thanks for getting back on this.
I can’t seem to find the right email associated with the account. Is there any other way we can renew the domain without the details?

I’ve haven’t received any email on the email address that I remember registering last.

    Thanks for your help!

    Hi Ethis,

Another quick thing – when I’m using my username, the said website shows up under ‘My Sites’ tab. I presume the website is linked to the id? Could you please clarify?

  • Hi there,

There are 4 different usernames on your site. The domain was bought by the username, manipalthetalk, and it’s to that username’s email that we sent a payment link to renew and recover the domain.

If you don’t remember the login details for that username, can you please follow our account recovery steps outlined here:

    Account Recovery

We’re only able to restore the domain to the same account that originally bought it, so will need you to reply via that account before we can restore the domain.

    Thanks for the reply Kokkeih,

I’m afraid I don’t seem to have access to the email address that I’ve used to register the domain. Is there any other way that we can do this? I can verify the card used for the payment method or the phone number associated with the account.

    Please let me know.

  • Do you still have the receipt for when you bought the domain? On that receipt is a transaction ID you can use on the account recovery form to verify your ownership of the account. You can also obtain that transaction ID directly from PayPal by following the instructions here:

    Retrieving a PayPal Transaction ID
