Issue with editing appearance

When I got to Appearance and Customize it brings me to the editing area where there is a menu on the right and then live preview on the right. However, now the live preview is only showing a couple inches of the page and then a scroll button. Occasionally it will toggle to full screen but I can’t get it to stay.
