issue with Kio theme menu?
-
Hi everyone,
I just switched over to the Koi theme — I really like the look and the arrangement. But a few readers have commented today saying that the background color (custom purple) is making it hard to read the drop-down menus. I’m a little confused, because I don’t see any drop-downs at all: I’ve tried to reproduce this in Firefox (3.6.6) and IE (8), and I can’t. I know at least one person experiencing this problem is on IE7. I haven’t made use of the menu options. I’m using the free version of WP, and I know next to nothing about CSS.
Has anyone else had these issues, and if so, any idea what can be done to fix it?
Thanks very much!

Hi amybai,
It looks like in older versions of Internet Explorer your menu overlaps the top header image. This happens because you have enough menu links that it breaks into two lines. There are no drop-down menus on your theme since you don’t have any child pages. The best way to fix that is to reduce the number of navigation items you show in your top navigation menu. Right now it’s based on your Pages, and you can adjust page titles or remove pages if you wish.
Even better, though, you can adjust the number of links in your menu and shorten the titles by using a Custom Menu. Learn how to do that at http://en.support.wordpress.com/menus/.

Aha! I guess I should have made use o fthe menu feature after all. :)
Thanks very much! I’ll play with it and see what I can do to fix this.
Thanks, timethief and lance, for you help!
