Issue with Logo and Header Image Penscratch 2 theme

Hi everyone,
I’ve uploaded a custom logo to my site. It seems to work fine on the desktop and when I check the views for tablet and mobile in my browser. It also seems fine in desktop application. However, when I view it in my iOS app the logo is just a square with the site title in it. The logo image is cropped well below the suggested 1200 x 400 px.
I have a similar issue when I select one of the header images that are not one of the suggested ones in the customizer. Just a square box where the image is supposed to be. The header image there now is cropped to the 937 x 300 px specification so I’m not sure why that isnt working.
Oddly, both images seem to be fine when I create pages or view posts that are not published yet. It seems once I publish, this iss occurs.
The site is not “launched” yet, and this is one of the reasons why I haven’t done so. I’m not sure if it is a CSS issue and it’s a small thing I may need to modify or if it is something with the images themselves. I’m also not sure if its an iOS app thing.

Thank you for responding! I searched all over thinking it was a simple CSS issue and couldn’t find anything. Definitely a strange issue.

Yes it is. I even installed the Windows desktop app to check and everything seems fine there too. I have not tried the Mac desktop app.

So this was something I didn’t check. In safari on my iPhone, when initially passed over and “home” it displays the boxes. However in going through the dashboard and viewing posts that are both published and drafts. It also does this when I tap visit site from the dashboard in Safari.
I’ve uploaded some screenshots to the folder in my original comment. Please let me know if you need any other additions screen captures. I will add them as soon as I can.

Well that’s odd.
Do you see the same problem in Safari if you’re logged out of WordPress.com vs. logged in to WordPress.com?

hm.. Just to clarify, from the context of those images it seems like the small size issue is in the editor rather than in any browser window. Could you confirm by logging into your phone’s mobile browser and visiting the site’s address?

It is definitely happening in the browser as well.
I just legged in via safari and went through checking a few things and did a screen recording. No iOS app or anything other than just Safari. It’s posted in the folder with the screenshots above. Please let me know if for some reason it can’t be viewed as its an mp4 file. I also don’t know if OneDrive will let you watch it online. You may have to download it.
