Issue with people accessing my site

    Hi WordPress!

    Why does a security message come up for people trying to access my site? I have had numerous people contact me on my Facebook page saying their virus scanner won’t allow them to access my website. This is impacting greatly on my number of hits. I host through you so I am assuming you are the ones to contact to sort this out.

    This has been an issue for at least a year but I haven’t had the chance to message you about it.

    Hi Kathy – It depends on the message, but this might be for people who are going to your site with https:// at the beginning of the URL instead of http://

    If that’s what it is, it’s nothing to worry about. You can read more about this here:

    For what it’s worth, I get no security warning when I go to your site. If that’s not the problem, you should ask those who report it what virus software they’re using and what the exact message is that they see.
