Hello there,
Understood – is there anyway you’re able to locate or probe for that information?
This will help us to troubleshoot further.
Many thanks.

Hello there,
Many thanks for that information – this does look like the issue we had in mind there.
Are you able to set the site to public, even if it’s temporarily and see if the images do them appear please?
If you’re looking to keep the site hidden, I would recommend setting the site to discourage search engines so that it’s not picked up by search engines.

we would not feel comfortable making this public as we have private information about our staff and volunteers on there

Hello there,
Understood.
The issue relates to how Safari deals with privacy and cookies across different sites and assets served across URLs.
One work around would be to revert to using a different browser in the meantime.
Another workaround that may be viable would be to set the primary domain to the original .WordPress.com domain.
I hope this helps.

Hi my user confirmed:
1. Log into the desktop via MS remote desktop as usual
2. Click on the CAB Intranet – works well, but the photos on ‘Meet the Team’ are missing
3 Log into Intranet page via the icon for Firefox – same result as for 2
4 Log into Intranet page via the icon for Google Chrome: bingo! the team photos appear.

Thank you for that! That does confirm what we’ve seen.
Safari and Firefox err on the side of enabling the
Prevent Cross-Site Trackingby default where Chrome does not.I tried a quick search to see if you can add sites/domains to an allow list to disable this prevention on a per-site basis and it appears that in Safari, the only option is to either turn the feature on or off globally.
In Firefox, you can add sites to an allow list: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/enhanced-tracking-protection-firefox-desktop#w_custom-enhanced-tracking-protection
Going forward, I’d recommend your team use Firefox and add the site to the allow list or use Chrome. You could also use Safari if you turn off that setting, but that would also allow every site to track things.
I’ve noted your problem to our internal tracking for this issue and we’ll see if the team can find a resolution in the future.
