Issue with Publicize and G

    Hi,

    I am in charge of dealing with the social medias for lecopot (I also have my blog here, at meylodie.wordpress.com).

    I have an issue which I hope you can help me with.

    I have connected lecopot.wordpress.com with his Facebook and G+ accounts. So far so good.

    Then later I published 2 articles. They both appeared on the right places, Facebook, and Google+, except that at the Google+ account it is published in private mode!

    What we want is to have in shared in public mode : and I have been unable to find any button or field option to set this up.

    I am not 100% sure this issue comes from wordpress.com rather than plus.google.com but I thought I would start here since the action is initiated from within the Publicize page of the admin board of the blog.

    Next I did a big mistake: after having pushed the two posts at G+ as “republish” to make it be available in Public Mode –because at G+ also it was not possible to fix it in another way– I have removed the initial private posts, thinking they weren’t useful anymore. Big mistake! Now from my G+ account (Mélodie), I can’t spread the post published in public mode, because I get a message saying “this post can’t be republished because it doesn’t exist anymore”.

    What should I do? Should I put the 2 articles off line, and create new ones to replace them? If so, is it ok to keep the same exact titles or would the slug look too much alike and that would not work?

    Let’s not forget my initial question : when pushed to G+, could the posts be published as “Public Mode” instead of private?

    When you connect your site to Google+ (in your Settings > Sharing area in your Dashboard), you should be prompted with the following options:

    You will want to choose the setting under “Make your creative activity available via Google, visible to:” public (or your circles). If you delete the selection there (“Your circles” in my example), you will get a drop-down box to change who will receive your posts.
