Issue with Sitemap Indexing in Google Search Console

    Hello,

    I am experiencing an issue with indexing my site in Google Search Console.

    My sitemap.xml is available at the following URL:
    https://kratomqa.wordpress.com/sitemap.xml

    However, when I submit it to Google Search Console, I receive the error:
    “Couldn’t fetch”

    Here are the details of my issue:

    • The sitemap is accessible in a browser and returns a 200 OK response.
    • My robots.txt file correctly references the sitemap.
    • The site is using HTTPS and loads properly.
    • I have tried resubmitting the sitemap multiple times, but the issue persists.

    Could you please help me resolve this issue? Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.

    Hey there @kratomqa, sorry to hear you’ve had problems with this! I understand Google can sometimes show that error when it simply hasn’t indexed the sitemap yet, even though there’s nothing wrong with the sitemap itself. I’m guessing it’s indexed by now, but if not, let us know if you need more help!
