Issue with STICKY POSTS

  Hi there,

  I tried using sticky posts for my blog. I really like the idea, however:
  1. The sticky posts seem to “disappear” from categories section and the latest posts section,
  2. I made some posts sticky- some of them appeared in the slider, some of them appeared right beneath it ;(
  3. Once I “unsticked” the posts- they are still there!

  Please help.

  Hi Joann,

  1a. The sticky posts seem to “disappear” from categories section

  I didn’t find any categories assigned to the first three sticky posts in the slider. What do you mean by the “categories section?” Which sticky posts disappeared from it?

  1b. and the latest posts section,

  The will not appear in the “Latest Entries” section of the front page. The authors evidently felt it would be redundant to do so. However, they will appear in your recent posts widget.

  2. I made some posts sticky- some of them appeared in the slider, some of them appeared right beneath it ;(

  The Sight theme guide says:

  Sight displays up to 30 of your latest sticky posts that have featured images in a prominent slider on the blog page. To add a post to the slider, mark it as Sticky and give it a Featured Image.

  I count four in the slider. If you marked others sticky which do not appear in the slider, perhaps they don’t have valid featured images applied.

  3. Once I “unsticked” the posts- they are still there!
