Issue with Stow theme
-
Hello,
I am using the Stow theme and I am very happy about it.
I would just need to change two things:
1) I need to show only summary of articles, not all of them
2) I need to add a search bar or button to the top
Right now having the full articles make the search bar unreachable at the bottom as it seems this theme has only 1 column and the only widget available is a footer.
What can be done?
Thank youThe blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hello there,
1) I need to show only summary of articles, not all of them
It looks like there’s a similar thread that answers that here :) https://wordpress.com/forums/topic/reduce-article-to-preview/?view=all

2) I need to add a search bar or button to the top
It doesn’t look like the Stow theme has the ability to add this to the top of the site.
You could perhaps create a page called Search, and insert a search block on that page: https://wordpress.com/support/wordpress-editor/blocks/search-block/
I hope this helps.

Thank you, I asked things twice, sorry!
I will add a more block to the most recent articles and add a search page. Not ideal but there is no other theme I like as much as Stow.
I will consider upgrading to a Paid plan soon, but where can I see the themes that are included there? -

I see …
Still, if I wanted to edit Stow to make it have two columns and or extra widgets I need the paid plan, correcT? -
Yes, to make visual customization to the theme, you’d need a paid Premium or higher plan: https://wordpress.com/support/editing-css/
With that said, structural changes, like adding a whole extra sidebar for more widgets are beyond what can be done with CSS and would require directly editing the theme, which would require a paid Business or higher plan.
