Issue With The Editor

@dwarren57 Thank you for providing an answer to my question this way the dev’s can get an all around picture what is working or not working for everyone.
-
-
I also noticed that the title of my post does not change when I post the link on other websites.
-
@dwarren57
If you’re referring to the title in the link portion it won’t change even though its been changed in the title field after the post has been published. -
Thank you for that additional information. Our team is looking into this, and they’ve asked for a few more details to help them investigate it:
- What is your browser’s window size? (That’s the browser size listed at http://supportdetails.com/ )
- What level of zoom do you normally use? (sl1k you mentioned changing from 150% to 200% zoom — do you normally keep the browser at 150%? What happens if you switch to 100%?)
Thanks!
-
When I switch to zoom level 100% nothing happen and yes I usually stay at 150% on firefox and on chrome 125% because of my eye sight.
Firefox
1366 x 693
Chrome
1093 x 514 -
Thanks! I’ll pass along those details to our developers so they can continue investigating this.

@dwarren57
Until they can track down the problem with the with new editor, may I recommend you book mark this url?
https://dwarren57.wordpress.com/wp-admin/post-new.php
This URL will bring you to the classic editor that currently fits and functions well within my browser. I replaced my URL with yours for easy booking for you. :)

Hi dwarren57 and sl1k —
Our team launched a fix to address issues with the editor layout when you have your browser zoomed in. I tested out the editor in the latest versions of Chrome and Firefox on Windows 8.1 (both zoomed in and with the zoom at 100%) and it’s working for me as usual.
Can you let me know if this is still an issue for you?
-
I tried the editor layout in chrome and firefox, the issue became fixed when I set the zoom level to 110% or below. At 125% or above same issue, I am willing to settle at 110% zoom level to have a working editor again thank you for the help.
-
-
Actually, the issue is present again. It is doing the same thing that it did before.
-
@dwarren57 — Hm, that’s odd! Have you made any changes to your browser settings, extensions, or zoom level?
Also, can you let me know if you have your browser zoomed in? (In Firefox, you can head to View > Zoom > Reset to reset the zoom to 100% and see if it was zoomed in before.)
-
The new editor layout has reverted back to the same issue for me as well… I have done nothing different on my end… other than reset my computer back to factory settings and a fresh install of chrome. default zoom level is set at 100% the title bar is stuck at the top again.

Ack, sorry about that! I looks like a fix we launched for a related issue is causing some trouble here. I’m checking in with our team and will let you know when I have an update from them about this.
