Issue with title
-
I am working with the Intergalactic 2 theme, and I have a couple issues.
First, all the feature images have a shade place on top of them. I cannot find a solution for removing that. I have seen references online to resetting the header transparency with CSS code, but I don’t know if my personal plan allows that. If not, I can still live with this theme if I can solve the next issue.
Second, I wanted to have my company logo featured very prominently, as it does in the theme demo. However, I cannot find a way to do that. An earlier discussion brought this issue up, but did not post a solution. In that discussion, thesacredpath explained that the large logo in the demo is actually the title of the front page. But I don’t think I understood him correctly, since I don’t find the option to place an image in my page titles.
In clarification as to how I can place my company logo in the same style as in the theme’s demo is very appreciated.

Hi amicells!
Regarding your first question, you would need the “Premium” plan in order to add your own custom CSS styles and remove that shade.
Regarding the second one, the big text in the demo is the actual title and description of the site. What you can do is add your custom logo (by going to Customize > Site Identity), uploading your logo and then hiding the default text and description. I uploaded a screenshot here, I hope it helps.
Please let me know if that helped.

Sorry about the screenshot being in Spanish, I just noticed that, but I hope you can see the location of the “hide text title” option.
Good Luck!

Hi @amicelis,
Intergalactic darkens images to make it easier to read the text that appears over the images.
If you’d like to remove that, please try adding the CSS below to your site in My Sites > Customize > CSS:
.blog .entry-background, .archive .entry-background, .search .entry-background { opacity: 1; }The opacity value in the CSS above can be changed from 0.1 to 0.9 if you’d like to adjust the darkness level, rather than completely removing it.
As @mrfoxtalbot points out, adding custom CSS is only possible on a Premium or Business plan.
