Issue with Twitter username / Publicize function
-
I’ve just done some cleaning up of our Sustainability Leaders blog and realized that there might be a bug with the social media sharing (publicize) option. It seems that the Twitter username automatically added when you share a post on Twitter is the one that was in the Settings at the time of publishing, not the current (actual) one. In our case this means that if someone shares a blog post from a year ago, for example, an outdated/non-existing Twitter username will be added. Is there any chance to make sure the current Twitter username under Sharing Settings is the one added to all tweets of blog posts? This would be of great help and avoid some head scratching and confusion.
Thanks!
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there,
You can check this by going to Settings > Sharing in your Dashboard. If that is correct, but you are seeing an old Twitter account on your posts, please provide me both the old and new Twitter handles and I can fix the posts for you.
Thank you!

Hi Grace,
thanks for your help. Not all old blog posts show old handles clicking the Tweet publicize option. There are essentially two old handles in need to be changed to the currently valid @sustleaders:@SustFuturesBlog (e.g. http://sustainability-leaders.com/2013/02/19/delhi-sustainable-development-summit-2013/)
@SustLeadersBlog (e.g. http://sustainability-leaders.com/2014/04/25/green-mba-essential-natural-capitalism-book/)
I hope you don’t need me to go through every blog post to find out which handle appears – but will of course do if necessary.
Thanks, Florian
