Issue with two step authentication
-
I hit print to print up the list of ten back-up codes but my printer did not print. Now, I’m stuck. It prompts be more a backup codes but the ones on my phone don’t work. Alternately, I’m unable to disable two step authentication because I don’t have a working code.
Is there any way to restart this process?

I have exactly the same problem. A message prompt on my dashboard asked me to set a two stage login-in. I followed all the instructions which led to a code being sent to my cell phone to verify it. I then correctly entered the code in the next stage of the process which generated 10 backup codes which also contained the strong advice to print the list out. The page also contained a print button.
When I pressed the print button the page went blank but nothing printed out. There is nothing wrong with my printer.
Any attempt to use the “Generate Backup Codes Button” in the Security setting only gives me another blank screen. This leaves me with no backup codes that I know and I am unable to generate new ones.
I am unable to disable the two stage log-in process as I am now prompted for a security code which I do not have.
I use Windows 7 with IE11.

Hi I can access my blog, but I cannot generate backup codes to access the blog from the mobile app.
When I click the button “generate backup codes” it doesn’t work and no backup codes are generated.

I eventually solved the problem on my own. Like you, I was unable to generate backup codes and unable to disable the process. I was stuck.
With nothing to lose, I entered one of the continuously changing authentication codes on my cell phone app where I was prompted under the “disable double authentication” section. It worked!
I was brought back to the beginning and repeated the process until I was, once again, instructed to print the list of back-up codes.
I hit the “print” button and, again, nothing happened, so I resorted to
taking a screen capture of the numbers and priningt up the image.I entered one of the back-up codes when prompted and typed “printed” in the space provided.
I was informed that I had been “double authenticated”!
