Issue with uploading image to post

I have never had issues like this uploading images to my wordpress site. I have tried multiple ways to upload images to my post but all I get is the loading circle.
I also get a big red notifaction box stating ‘The response is not a valid JSON response.’
I am at a loss as to what to do. I can’t upload anything to my blog and can’t seem to find a way to fix this. This only started happening when I switched from classic editor to the new one and my account proceded to do so on it’s own. It also deactivated most of my plugins. I have gotten those up and running since then.
I have read that some plugins cause this kind of issue, but even when my plugins were disabled I still couldn’t upload images.

PS: If you think the Block editor is causing you issues, you can always install the classic editor plugin.
