issue with video embed code

  Today I posted an embed code for an uploaded video on vimeo but unlike the youtube embed codes which show my video im my blog posts this one shows the link, how can I fix this?

  It looks like you may have included part of the embed code.

  You just need to insert the link of the video’s page. See this for more details: http://en.support.wordpress.com/videos/vimeo/

  Ok thanks, I tried that but now the url to the video just shows up, not the video itself
