Issue wity background and text position

    Hey guys.
I’m new to WP. I just activated my new theme and a having issues. I went to customize to try to add a background image like they showed in the theme display but it didn’t work. Not only that; I have a static homepage with five links:
    Home
    About
    Blog
    Supplies
    Contact

The theme I was using originally showed them fine, going vertically as I’ve typed above. However, with the new theme, Supplies and Contact are on the same line. I’ve tried editing the page but there’s nothing wrong there.

Can someone please help me? I have a free account until I know I like WP and will stick with it, so I don’t have the CSS editor. Thanks in advance :)

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    Hi
I see what you mean about the two being side to side. Digging into the page code i noticed that the line (144) that calls the image for the phone ends in </h2> (close heading 2) , whereas the other lines calling images (140, 142, 146) in that same block end with </p> (close paragraph)

Not quite sure what the cure is for this so i flagged this thread for the WordPress gurus.

    best,
    dave

  • Hi there,

The image you have for Supplies is set to no alignment, while all other images and headings on your site is set to center alignment. That’s why it’s displaying the way it is. It has nothing to do with your theme.

If you want your site to look like the theme demo, you need to set it up as explained in the theme’s instructions. Your theme doesn’t work by manually adding links into a static page.

    Thanks!
I think I’ve gotten pretty much everything figured out now that I read the instructions. :)

  • Excellent :)

Please let me know if I can help with anything else.
