Issues Commenting on Non-WordPress Blogs

    I have been having issues commenting on blogs outside of WordPress (Blogger sites in particular). When I try to sign in with my WordPress name, it tells me, ‘Your OpenID credentials could not be verified.’ While researching the problem, I found a page within WordPress Support that states, ‘OpenID is not available for any new blogs created after 2016-01-02.’ But it does not offer any support for the issue for those of us who started our blogs past that date. How do I sign in to comment with my WordPress Blog on sites outside of WordPress? The blog I’m attempting to comment on only has the option for Google (which connects me to another blog I run on Blogger, not the WordPress site I want to comment with), WordPress, other platforms like Typepad and Livejournal, and OpenID. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you!

    *Forgive me if this has been answered 100 times already. I tried searching for the answer before posting, but I was unable to find anything that was posted recently–most were from years ago on other forums.
