Issues loading Blog

    Hello there

    My pjcoarsefishing blog went down just over a week ago. I have tried to find the problem and fix it but cannot get past the Jetpack issue.

    The error was…
    fishinblogs.com redirected you too many times.
    Try clearing your cookies.
    ERR_TOO_MANY_REDIRECTS

    I cleared all cookies/browsing history and even tried on a brand new laptop with no browsing history… same error. WordPress says to update Jetpack but when I try it gives the above error?

    I contacted Jetpack and they gave this reply… The Jetpack error message you’re seeing in your WordPress.com account is actually coming from the fact that Jetpack is unable to connect to your site – the real problem is the redirect loop that you’re seeing – it’s not in your browser, it’s actually happening on your server where your site is hosted.

    Since the site is redirecting to wp-signup.php whether you go to fishinblogs.com or http://www.fishinblogs.com, there’s not much information I have to go on, but if this is a WordPress Multisite, chances are that there is a bit of a misconfiguration in the WordPress setup.

    Contact your web host.

    We provide support only for wordpress.COM hosted sites as they are the only ones on our servers. That site is not on our servers and you are posting to the wrong support forum to get support for it.

    WordPress.COM and WordPress.ORG are completely separate and have different username accounts, logins, features, run different versions of some themes with the same names, and have separate support documentation and separate support forums. Read the differences here http://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/

    Our support docs do not apply to
    (1) local installs of wordpress.ORG software on your own server or
    (2) wordpress.ORG software installs on paid hosting, and we do not provide support for them at wordpress.COM.
    (3) sites linked to wordpress.COM accounts with the Jetpack plugin so they display on the My Sites wordpress.com account page.
