Issues Sharing Post on Enabled Facebook Page I Manage

  I cannon post/share/publicize my post to the enabled Facebook page. This is the first time this has happened.
  The message reads: “The message could not be posted to this wall” when I try.

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  I was able to push the post to my personal Facebook timeline, then “share” to my Facebook page. Unfortunately, it wouldn’t post directly to my page, although that’s the Facebook connection that’s enabled through WordPress. It’s been working fine up until today. Very weird.

  Thanks for those details. I don’t see any problems with the post itself to explain the problems you had, so it’s possible that Facebook just had a glitch on their end.

  Could you please try reconnecting the publicize connection to Facebook? We have a guide for that here: Publicize: Reconnecting Services

  Then, if your next post isn’t publicized to Facebook correctly, please let me know and I can keep investigating this for you. :)

  Thanks so much for your response, but I tried your recommended steps and I’m still having the same issue. I can post to my personal timeline, but can not post to my page. It would be great if you could do additional investigation.

  Hi Stella,

  Sure thing, I can investigate this more for you. When you get that error, does it happen when you publish a new post and try to publicize it to Facebook automatically? Or does it happen when you try to manually paste the link into a new status update on your Facebook page?

  If you can provide the exact steps you take before you get this error, that will help me test it. (If you’re manually sharing the link on your Facebook page, that may be an issue with Facebook itself and not with WordPress.com. However, I’d be happy to look into it either way to see if we can help with the issue!)

  Just made an attempt to post to my Facebook page from the Facebook “Share” button on my blog and it WORKED! I have no idea what the issue was yesterday, but it seems to have resolved itself. Fingers crossed this lasts! Regardless, many thanks for your help. Hopefully, you won’t be hearing from me anytime soon.
