Issues Transferring a Domain to Another Registrar

  I am changing this blog over from a wordpress.com to a wordpress.org and want to take the domain name with me. We have purchased the transfer from GoDaddy but are not receiving the email with transfer codes which GoDaddy says is going to [email redacted] but is not routing to any email. According to the email we have private registration but I cannot find any location within the upgrades to cancel it.
  Any further help to do a full transfer? ninaroesner.com is the domain name.
