Issues With Celsius Theme

  I have selected Celcius theme for my blog and I would like to point out some issues in it. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

  • In this theme, the images that have hyperlinks have a hover effect which brightens up the image when hovered. But in Chrome (I am using 54.0.2840.99, the recent update) this hover effect is not working.
    Moreover, when hovered, the image flickers for a second (disappears and appears again) which looks bad.

    Kindly look into it.

  • Readability: The text hyperlinks in this theme have a dark blue-ish color with no text-decoration (underline). This makes distinguishing links from usual text bit hard for users. In my humble opinion, something should be done about that.

    As a designer, I would suggest just adding an underline property (text-decoration: underline) to links which are in the text of a post.

  Hi there,

  The link colour and text-decoration options is how the theme designer decided it should be. I understand that you think it should be different, but this is a design decision, not a bug, and not the kind of thing we change.

  If you have the Premium or Business plan you can change this by adding custom CSS to your theme. You can also change the appearance of links inside your posts and pages by adding inline CSS via the style-attribute. You don’t need an upgrade to use inline CSS.

  I’ve confirmed the problem with the hover effect – it appears to be broken in Safari as well. I notice it does work if the images are set to no alignment. In the recent posts you have the images set to center-aligned. You could change that as a temporary fix, but I’ve reported the issue so our developers will look into it.

  Howdy!

  Thanks for bringing the image hover bug to our attention. We’ve made a fix to Celsius and you should notice images now have the same behavior between browsers. I hope this helps!
