Issues with changing blog address

    I accidently created and deleted a wordpress webpage under my username while trying to change my blog/site address. Now it will not let me change my blog address to the name I want it to be (the one I accidently created as an entirely new webpage when changing my username) because it is saying it ‘already exists’ (even though I deleted it through the My Blog settings).

    I did this on the 3rd of October and it’s still not letting me change it. Is there a certain amount of time that needs to pass for it to reset? And does my username, successfully changed, also affect this?

    I’m trying to change it to streetworksmcc.wordpress.com

    Hi streetworksmcc,

    Addresses (URLs) for blogs that have been deleted by the owner will remain deleted.

    Thank you for your reply. So essentially I can now never use that blog address because I accidently deleted it? Even though I created it, it can’t be retrieved?
