Issues with contact form plugin

  I wanted to use contact form on a page in my wordpress.com site but I do not have button for adding it in an editor. Is there something that needs to be configured?

  Third party plugins cannot be installed on WordPress.com sites. This is a security risk as we cannot vet all outside code and it puts our users, their sites, and our servers at risk.

  Plugins are only usable on self-hosted WordPress.org sites.

  I know the difference between .com and .org can get confusing, so here’s a breakdown of the benefits of each:

  I think you misunderstand me. I am talking about contact form plugin included in wordpress.com site.

  claims there is plugin called “Contact forms”

  And this is the page for the plugin itself:

  So are you saying your own documentation is not correct?

  Ah, I see…we tend not to use the word “plugin” at WordPress.com (even though it is on that support page), so I thought you were focused on self-hosted sites. I’m now clear on what Contact Form you’re hoping to install! Thank you.

  I do see that you were able to add a Contact Form using shortcode on your site. If you’re happy with the way this operates, great.

  In the future, if you’d like to use our Classic editor to add the contact form, this is where you’ll see the button:
