Issues with Content on Landing Pages Displaying

Hello, I have my site’s top navigation set up with my categories, and all blog posts are tagged to these categories. However, for these landing pages that you land on when clicking on the top nav nodes, only the first article published for each category is displaying on that page. What I want is to be able to click on a top nav node and land on the landing page for that category, and have all articles displayed there that are tagged to that category. How can I fix this please? Thank you!

    Hi,

What I want is to be able to click on a top nav node and land on the landing page for that category, and have all articles displayed there that are tagged to that category.

The menu items on the site https://caroscity.wordpress.com/ presently link to single posts, except for the “About” and “Contact” pages. That’s the problem. I’d suggest that you have them link to category pages instead. See the Category Pages support page.

If you want to include drop-down menus of links to individual posts below the various categories in the menu, then see the Additional Menu Items and Changing the Order & Creating Sub-Menus sections of the Custom Menus support page.

This was so helpful and is now working perfectly, thank you! I really appreciate the help! May I ask one more question? Now that all of my top nav nodes are pulling the correct articles by category, I noticed that when you click on a top nav node and go to that category page, the header of the page says “Category – X” under the top nav. Do you know how to edit this text so it just displays as the category name, instead of containing the word “category?” THANK YOU :)

That would require CSS customization, which I haven’t studied yet. I’d suggest that you either submit a separate request to the CSS Custimization forum or add a “modlook” tag to the sidebar of this topic to call for staff attention, or you could do both.
