Issues with Domain Renewal Pricing After Currency Change
-
Hello,
I recently received an email from WordPress informing me about an increase in domain renewal prices. However, the email also mentioned:
“If automatic renewal is disabled and you haven’t received the renewal reminder email yet, you can still renew your domain(s) at the current lower price until September 27, 2024.”After logging into my account, I confirmed that I met the conditions to renew my domain at the lower price. However, the currency was set to Turkish Lira (TL). Since I intended to make the payment using a foreign credit card, I requested to change the currency to Euro (EUR). When the support team made this change, I noticed that the renewal price had increased significantly. Even after switching back to TL, the price remained higher.
Is this normal? Shouldn’t the price stay the same since I only requested a currency change? This seems like an error that affects my ability to renew at the original price.
Additionally, the “Happiness Support” has not been helpful in resolving this issue.
I would appreciate any insights or assistance regarding this issue.
Thank you!
