Issues with Featured Image and Portfolio

    Hello,
    I’m new to WordPress and I’m trying to build my website with the Portfolio option. I have a decent page done, but I have issues around Featured Image. All the docs about Featured Image that I found were either ‘too old’ (options have changed name, or not existing, or my theme (Dream-Theme The7) does not support, I don’t know…), either they only concern Post options and not Portfolio.

    So, when I put a Featured Image on a Portfolio page, the Featured Image is getting add up to the Portfolio page and breaks the whole page design, the Featured Image is scaled up and blurry, the text is squished on the side and drags weirdly, the ‘Media Grid’ has its column goes all wrong and also squished on the side… it’s really a mess!

    When I remove the Featured image, the Portfolio page is fine, but then I have no thumbnail preview in my Portfolio listing AND, in the gallery page, where I should have a ‘mosaic’ of all my Portfolio pages… For my gallery page, I’ve used ‘Post Grid > Data source: dt_portfolio’, where it should be automatically linking any Portfolio Page into this mosaic (it does, when I set a ‘Featured Image’, but like I said, doing so, I’m breaking up my Portfolio page design completely)

    I have no idea how to fix this, so it would work on the Portfolio page AND on the gallery page!

    Hi there,

    Your site is not hosted on WordPress.com, but using the open source WordPress.org software at another hosting provider. We cannot help with this in the WordPress.com forums.

    You appear to be using the plugin, https://wordpress.org/plugins/custom-content-types/, to add the portfolio content type to your site, and that plugin appears to have been retired, so probably no longer works properly.

    The Jetpack plugin that connects your site to WordPress.com also adds the portfolio content type to your site, so try using Jetpack’s portfolio feature instead:

    But if your theme doesn’t support the portfolio content type that might not work either. In that case, please contact support for your theme directly.
