Issues with Harmonic theme on mobile…?
-
Dear Sir/Madam,
I recently created a blog and I have some issues with the Harmonic theme, especially when displayed on a mobile device.
The problem is that the theme crops the images I upload on the home page, making me need to adjust them (and especially the header) to the crop size on mobile devices. Is there a way I can manually establish which part of a picture will be shown on a mobile device?
Secondly, is there a way I can hide my logo when browsing through my website on a computer, and only display it when someone is browsing on a mobile device? I have a custom title header, so I do not need a second logo. The image I upload to the highest slide on the website seems to be very unresponsive.
Thirdly, how come each time I install the map widget, the background image of the widgets area becomes extremely scaled?
Thank you very much!

Hi there,
The Harmonic theme is designed to respond to a visitor’s screen size, no matter what size screen they have. Because of how the background images on the front page are displayed and adjusted for various screen sizes, it’s best to use images that don’t require specific dimensions or cropping to look right.
I see you’ve enabled the mobile theme for mobile devices — that’s the best way to differentiate between how your site looks on mobile devices and on larger screens, if you aren’t happy with how the theme appears on mobile devices.
If you’d like to further customize how your theme looks on various devices, I’d recommend trying out our Custom Design features. That gives you more options to control your theme’s design, especially with Custom CSS.
Thirdly, how come each time I install the map widget, the background image of the widgets area becomes extremely scaled?
That’s hard to say without seeing that widget in action on your site. Could you either add that widget to your site so I can take a look or enable it long enough to make a screenshot of what you see? (You can upload screenshots to your Media Library under Media > Add New in your dashboard, or you can use an online service like Snaggy.)
That way I can see the exact issue you’re seeing, so I can better understand what’s going on with that widget.
