Issues with home page

  Hi there. My site is under construction, and I am working on the home page. I am doing a news site, so the homepage is every story, newest at the top, oldest at bottom, ten articles per page. When I try to add a picture, it adds to all of my posts, even though every article has a different picture. Same when adding description of article. How can this be fixed?

  Hi!

  I’ve seen a an issue like you’re describing, with a picture repeating unexpectedly. There could be a few different reasons for this actually.

  Just to clarify, is the picture showing up. . .

  1. with each story JUST as it appears in the preview of 10 stories on your homepage?

  Or

  2. in each story “post” even when you click on the story and have it alone on its own page, separate from the homepage?

  If the issue is #1, then it may be due to adding the picture via a “cover” block, which is a type of heading/background block that can repeat itself between each item on the page.

  If you’re not using a cover block, let us know and there are other solutions to explore. That’s just my first guess as to what might be happening!

  Just number one. I think you helped, because I went in and examined the cover block, and redid those settings, and now it is working. Thank you!
