Issues with inline text images (Intergalactic theme)
-
Hi, support team. I’m suddenly seeing an issue with my text formatting whenever I use images as inline text elements; this was working fine before today.
A sample of the formatting error may be found at https://perplexingchimera.wordpress.com/2015/02/09/solution-to-25-dies-to-doom-blade/. For some reason, a large margin seems to be added just before each inline text image, and I’m not sure why this suddenly came to be.

Has anyone else encountered this problem? Would anyone know how to resolve this? I’m on the verge of changing my theme right now, but I’d like to keep Intergalactic if I can.

For some reason, a large margin seems to be added just before each inline text image, and I’m not sure why this suddenly came to be.
I was unable to duplicate this effect using either the latest Firefox or the latest Google Chrome browser. The inline text images look fine, and I found no margin in front of them.

I’ve noted that the issue doesn’t seem to replicate for mobile phones, which points to a browser or cache issue. However, I’m still seeing the issue after clearing my cache and multiple page refreshes over two days. This is on Firefox version 35.0.1 and Chrome 40.0.2214.111, both of which are noted as the latest stable releases for these browsers.

Yes, I see what you mean. This is what I’m seeing on Firefox 35.0.1 and Google Chrome 40.0.2214.111 m: http://snag.gy/toCoA.jpg.

You may tag the topic for Staff attention by adding a “modlook” tag in the sidebar here.

You’re seeing the page normally, all right. This is very strange.
I’ve added the “modlook” tag for staff attention.

Hi there,
After looking into this, I found that this was not a browser issue, but more so to deal with the display size. The theme was currently designed to a left-margin on full size images on large displays (min width of 1060px).
So if you switch to the Text Editor on that page, remove any text that says:
size-fullThen, update the page and the margins will be removed.
Also, next time you insert an image, remember that if you insert it in full-size a left margin will be added. So in order to avoid that, set a custom size.

That makes sense… although it’s strange that this only happened recently. I’m guessing that there was a recent adjustment made to the theme?
Thank you for the solution. Now, to update my posts…
