Issues with Jetpack and VPN

  • Unknown's avatar

We’re hosting WordPress within our VPN and it is not accessible externally. We need access it’s contents using Jetpack, but are having issues. Intially we could not install Jetpack, but had temporarily made the server public to allow the install. Now that we’ve blocked off external access again we’re having issues accessing the API. We’re getting a 10520 error.

A previous email by one of my colleagues received a response stating that the server must be accessible externally for Jetpack to work. It’s a bit odd to me that this would be the case. Can I get some clarification on this?

If this is indeed the issue, how do we get around it?

    Thanks in advance
