Issues with Pictorico Theme and a Static Front Page
-
The theme works fine for me as long as I have the most recent blog posts on the home page. However, when I try to use a static front page and move the posts to a different page, both pages don’t work correctly.
Now, the home page shows content only in the upper left hand corner, and the blog page doesn’t show the small tiles for each post like it’s supposed to.
Does anyone know how I can fix this?
Thanks,
Rebecca

Pictorico – when i use Static page option, all of my old posts still appear on the landing page. i want to get rid of the posts on my landing page

Hi swomble – your site isn’t actually set to display a static page right now, it’s set to the default, which is to display your latest posts. You’ll only see the option under Settings > Reading to set a static page as the front page once you’ve created at least one published page. Right now you don’t have any published pages, so that’s why you don’t have the option.

Just let me know if you need further help.

i had it set to Static theme but it would not work, so I disabled it.
i do not understand what you are saying. i have many published posts. what do you mean by “published PAGES?”

In WordPress you can make either posts – which show up on the blog with the newest ones first – or static pages, like an About page or Contact page or something like that.
On your site running Pictorico there aren’t any pages yet, as you can see here:
https://swomble.wordpress.com/wp-admin/edit.php?post_type=page
On the other hand, you have 55 posts, which you can see here:

If you’re referring to a different site, could you please give me the link so I can take a look? Thanks.
