Issues with Post by Email

Hi there,
Can you give some more details on what exactly is going wrong? Are you getting an error when you send the email? Does it send correctly but the post never appears? Something else?
Also please confirm the secret email address you’re using, as well as the email address you’re sending the emails from. Type each email on its own line, and it will be hidden automatically so only staff can see it.
Looking at the post by email logs for your site, I can see you published a post two days ago, WS 21: Astros vs Braves, but there has been no PBE attempts logged on our end since. So if you’ve been sending new posts this way, those emails never reached us – if they’d reached us but didn’t get published for some reason, our logs would show that.

Hmm, as @kokkieh mentioned above, we do not see any attempts in our logs, so it might suggest issues when sending the email out.
The secret email address you shared with us is correct. Could you check for possible typos in the recent email you sent out?Also, if resending the email doesn’t seem to work, could you try to send it from a different email address?

Tried sending with a different email and have the same issue. Also checked for typos and everything is correct. My other blog on WordPress I can send by email with no problems. I’m stumped on trying to figure this out.

Could you share with us the latest secret email address and email address you sent the email from? On separate lines just as before please.
I also see you updated the blog site address from mlblogsdugoutdiary.wordpress.com to

Your posts look relatively simple and it also looks like you follow a process to attach images. Could you detail the steps you take when you publish a post by email? We need to walk in your shoes a bit.
Two other questions:
1. Have you attempted to disable post by email, then re-enable?
2. Have you attempted a text-only (no image) test post to see if that goes through?

My process is first I’m doing everything from my IPad. I go to my picture library and attach the picture to email and send it by the secret email. I’ve attempted all the other steps also.
I appreciate your help. If it can’t be figured out, I will just start using the WordPress app. It’s just easy the other way by email.

Can you share a snippet of the content from your post? Just a unique sentence would be fine, and let us know the approximate time you sent that, too.

I’m afraid that won’t work – if we search for “test” in our post by email logs, it will match millions of posts.
@supernovia meant a sentence from an actual post you tried to publish, rather than random test content. That way we have something unique to search for in our logs.That said, it looks like this might be related to your theme in some way, possibly due to the recent changes in how widgets are handled in WordPress.
Can you disable the Infinite Scroll feature on your site and see if that makes any difference? You’ll find the setting at https://wordpress.com/settings/writing/dugoutdiarymlblogs.wordpress.com, under Theme Enhancements.

Last week I asked for help with posting by email issues — I found out that my theme was discontinued so I installed a new theme and now it works with no issues.
One issue I do have is that I changed my blog name by mistake. Is there anyway I can get my old blog address back?

Hi there,
I was able to restore that address as it has only been deleted a week ago. You can now transfer your contents by exporting and then importing them.
