Issues with security certificate

  Some of my readers can’t access my blog. Apparently it states there are issues with the security certificate.

  Any advice, really gratefully received.

  Hello.

  Since you are referring to a custom domain, the issue is likely that readers are using links with https:// instead of just http://

  This is because WordPress.com maintains their security certifcates using WordPress.com as the domain, since that’s where they serve all their content from. When the browser sees ‘https’ in the URL, that tells the browser to check the SSL certificate. When the browser sees a custom domain and checks the certificate and then sees its made for WordPress.com, the browser sends a warning because of the mismatch.

  Make sure you only share links with http:// and let any readers know that have an issue to make sure they do not use https://
