issues with wordpress

  I’m trying to build a web site…I’m not an expert but I have built them before using other products. I was able to drag and drop pictures, rearrange paragraghs add videos/brochures and change font very easily. Is there a way I can simplify wordpress? I feel like everything is stuck in it’s place and can’t be easliy moved around.

  There are other things that bothersome too. Here are the main ones;

  * a search box in the upper right hand corner of my pages that I don’t want
  * a “recent posts tab at the bottom of the title page
  * a “leave a reply’ box at the bottom of one of the pages
