It looks like the featured Image in Byrne theme are not served by Jetpack CDN

Hi, currently my blog is using Byrne theme.

I found that the featured images in my blog are not served by Jetpack CDN while other images in the posts which are not featured images already served by Jetpack CDN.

I found that in the classic themes (not the new FSE’s) such as Twenty Twenty One, the featured images are served by Jetpack CDN.

Is there any css or setting I have to click to make the featured image in Byrne theme included in the Jetpack CDN?

    Thanks.

  • Hey there, it should just work. Can you send a link to a post that shows the wrong image, or better, can you link to the Facebook post or Tweet that’s affected?

    Hi there,

For example, let’s use this post as an example:

Review Pengalaman Berkunjung ke Politeknik Industri Furnitur dan Pengolahan Kayu, Kampus Gratis di Kendal

If I use Twenty Twenty One, the featured image url will be (by right-click the image and open image in new tab):

https://i0.wp.com/diakhir.blog/wp-content/uploads/2021/11/karya-mahasiswa-politeknik-industri-furnitur-pengolahan-kayu-polifurneka-kendal-02.jpg (served by i0.wp.com and with the green Jetpack logo on the tab)

If I use Twenty Twenty Two, the featured image url will be same:

https://i0.wp.com/diakhir.blog/wp-content/uploads/2021/11/karya-mahasiswa-politeknik-industri-furnitur-pengolahan-kayu-polifurneka-kendal-02.jpg (same as the Twenty Twenty One)

But if I use Byrne, the featured image url will be:

https://diakhir.blog/wp-content/uploads/2021/11/karya-mahasiswa-politeknik-industri-furnitur-pengolahan-kayu-polifurneka-kendal-02.jpg that seems not served by Jetpack.

    Thanks.

Ups, my mistake, when I wrote “If I use Twenty Twenty Two,” I mean “Twenty Twenty”

  • Hi there,

I did some testing on my own site, and on my test site, while the src attribute does show the site URL, like yours, the image is being served via the CDN, and the CDN URL can be seen in the attributes that handle Jetpack’s Lazy Images.

But I don’t see those attributes at all for the image on your site, and I’m not able to figure out why. It doesn’t appear to be the theme, though.

Can you please contact live chat support at https://wordpress.com/help/contact so we can troubleshoot this further? Our live chat team is better equipped to help with issues specific to sites on our Pro plan, and if we have to do some plugin troubleshooting for this, it’s easier to do that in real time :)
