The blog linked to your username is a WordPress.com blog, so if it’s the blog to which you refer, then the answer to your question is “no”. There is NO blogger initated advertising allowed on WordPress.com blogs.

You can apply for Word Ads instead. They’ve started to approve some blogs for WordAds beta already.

Suggesting wordads to a chap who has only a hello world post is worthless.
There are so many people who come to wordpress daily only to make money and when they find nothing they just piss off forever. -
Agreed! Then they should take the time to read the Terms of Service before they sign up, since they’ve agreed to them when they do.
