it says: 'comments turned off' all over my front page!

  i’m using inuit types but on the front page where there’s loads of articles, i didn’t want a comment count but now i’ve unticked comments and pingbacks, it says in massive letters: comments turned off’. is there any way to just have the title/headline with no number and no ‘comments turned off’ sign? thanks

  it actually says ‘comments off’. is this a problem with the theme? please help.
