Hey there @nataliejsaxon, this looks like a self-hosted WordPress site. It would normally be connected to our dashboard via Jetpack, but Jetpack can’t access it.
Should the site still be live? If so, can you work through the 500 error with your host or with the WordPress.org community? Here’s how.
Or, are you trying to create a new site here on our services? If the old site is gone now and you want to disconnect it so you don’t see that message, we can help with that. Let us know more about what you’re hoping to do.
Also if it helps, here’s the difference between DIY WordPress installations and WordPress.com managed hosting. We’d be happy to host you here if you’d like!

It appears to be a problem with jetpack, but the site can’t be accessed to install jetpack. Have you heard of this issue with others?
The site is live according to the domain service I pay for.
The old site is gone now, but if that means all the content is lost, that is going to be the loss of years of content for me.
Please help!

The site is live according to the domain service I pay for.
When I visit your site, I get an Internal Server Error message:
Based on the message received, it appears that your website is currently not live/online. When your site is not publicly accessible, Jetpack cannot be installed or connected to your WordPress.com account.
As this issue pertains to the server, it’s within the purview of your hosting provider, iPage, to address and resolve. Given that they host your site, they possess the necessary access to fix any server-related problems and can also assist in restoring your site if required.
Once your site is back online, and you can access your wp-admin area, you can proceed to install Jetpack and follow the necessary steps to reconnect it. If you encounter any difficulties post-restoration, feel free to reach out to Jetpack support for assistance.
I hope this provides some clarity!
