It seems as if someone is using my email address on wordpress

  Three days ago I tried to set up an account with WordPress. This will be the first time I have set up a blog account.

  However when I entered my email address I was informed that it was in use. it cannot be in use – this is my own domain email. However the username is for someone called stevenspiro which is definitely not me.
  I want to set up my account with my own username, but this is concerning me.

  Please help.

  This sounds like a job for the staff: http://en.support.wordpress.com/contact/

  However: Support is currently closed as staff meet offsite brainstorming ways to make things better. We will be dropping into the forums regularly during the hiatus, and we’ll formally reopen on August 16th.

  They do stop by the Forum to check from time to time so one might see this before Monday – you should be able to start your blog using a different email if you want then change the email when the confusion over who is using your email is resolved.
