  couldn’t import blog content from a self-hosted WP blog to my new blog at WP.com. It took longer than 24 hours and I haven’t seen any result.

  hi,
  Have you seen any of your post appear at all? Have checked your drafts page? Do you see any posts or pages there?
  If nothing anywhere, I would suggest you try uploading the XML file once again.
  How big is the XML file? Are you seeing any errors while the file is getting uploaded?
  Do try uploading the xml file from a different browser this time and see if helps.
