    Hi,

Did you want the menu item titled “Describe your project” to be linked to a static page, or perhaps a category page?

    Hi,

In order for a WordPress.com member to contribute a project to your site, the member would need to first be assigned by an administrator to a user role on the site. See the User Roles support page. The Contributor role may be the most suitable, based upon the description you’ve provided.

You may invite users as described in the Inviting Contributors, Followers, and Viewers support page.

There is a useful Contact Form that members may use to submit information or messages directly to specific email addresses, but to my knowledge, projects, posts, or pages contributed by a user can not be submitted via the Contact Form.

The descriptions of the Contributor and Author roles in the User Roles support page refer only to the corresponding abilities regarding “posts.” I don’t know if the same abilities apply regarding other content types (static pages, portfolio projects, and testimonials) for those roles. You may add a “modlook” tag to the sidebar at right here to call for staff attention if you have questions regarding the abilities of the various user roles.
