  how can I display each item in my archives from the drop down list of each archived month?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Hi there.

  I’m afraid that’s not possible using the archives widget. You could use the display posts shortcode in a text widget to display an index of your posts in the sidebar, though it will be one continuous list, not a drop-down. http://en.support.wordpress.com/display-posts-shortcode/

  You can also set up a custom menu and add the posts to that manually. You can then display the custom menu in the sidebar using a widget. If you add the posts under a parent tab (say, for each month) it might work as a drop-down, but I’m not sure. http://en.support.wordpress.com/menus/
