Items being deleted from my public Blog view, www.svsunflower.org
-
I can see all my posts from the first day of my blog in May of 2011 up to present date in my Dashboard view but I have a large gap of Posts between 24 Jun 2013 and today that are not appearing in the public blog view. I chatted with Tech Support a few days ago and they helped recover some of the missing items but we have more work to do to recover the gap I identified above and figure out why it happened. PLEASE ADIVSE SOONEST.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hello there!
The first thing I’d like you to do, if you’re open to it, is update your theme. Your current theme, iNove, has been retired for over two years. Retired themes continue to work on WordPress.com sites, but the problem is, they aren’t updated to support changes we make to our system. Sometimes this causes glitches.
I took the liberty of doing a theme search for you based on the right-hand column layout of iNove. I think that the Big Brother theme would work great for you, as well as many of these current themes:
http://theme.wordpress.com/themes/features/right-sidebar/Once you activate a current theme for your site, take a look at your site. If the main blog page is still not showing all your posts, please let me know. I can help further.
It does appear as if you are copy/pasting your text from another source. This is causing extraneous code to be pasted into your editor, and this seems to be causing your issue.
Because our text editor was enhanced several months ago, I want to make certain your process is updated as well. Here are the instructions:
http://en.support.wordpress.com/microsoft-word/You may not be using Microsoft Word, but the directions and that document should still guide you through.
Please let me know if you have any questions about my suggestions. I’m happy to help! All the best.

Thanks, Robyn. I will implement your suggestions. You are RIGHT, I am copying from a Word Document on a Microsoft OneDrive in the Cloud. The text comes from 1 OneDrive folder and the Photos come from another OneDrive folder. The problem is that the info originates from a Sailboat which has a very limited bandwidth (about 64K, at best, if you imagine that) via the KVH maritime satellite system.

Aha! I can imagine how slow this connection must be.
If you need to copy and paste, I have two suggestions for you, which might help with these formatting glitches.
1. You can use your Windows/PC built-in text editor called WordPad. Save your document as Plain Text. That way, when you copy/paste into WordPress.com, your content will transfer nicely, and you can add any line breaks or text formatting you’d like in the WordPress visual editor. Here is information about your Text Editor:
http://www.fedoraoutlier.com/the-built-in-text-editors-on-windows-and-macs/2. You can follow these instructions for copying Plain Text from MS Word into WordPress.com:
http://en.support.wordpress.com/microsoft-word/#plain-textYou may have to experiment a bit to see which process you like better, and which works best with your bandwidth.
I hope this is helpful. If you need, I am happy to provide other suggestions to make your experience with posting to WordPress.com easier. Happy blogging and sailing! :)
