iTheme2: cannot restore default background after changing the background image

    Hi All,
    I’m using the theme iTheme2 and I’ve tried to change the background image.
    After some ‘tests’ I decided that the default image of the theme was better than the ones I’ve tried, so I’ve removed the ‘custom’ image.
    Which is the problem? The default image is not restored… it’s disappeared!
    I’ve also tried to apply a different theme to apply again the iTheme2. I’ve hoped that this way the default background would have been restored… but nothing! That damned image seems to be vanished!
    Can you help me?

    Here’s the result of clicking your username link in an attempt to locate the blog in question:

    eccomidate.wordpress.com is no longer available.
    The authors have deleted this blog.

    When I’ve added the topic, I’ve selected my blog within the field “Select the blog you need help with” so I thought it would have been enough.

    eccomidate.wordpress.com has been my first blog. After I’ve deleted it I haven’t updated my account info… now I’ve do it! :)

    By the way, the blog I need help with is lovingstefy.wordpress.com.

    I’m sorry but only Staff and the support bot can read which blog you selected when you created this thread. We Volunteers can’t. :(

    > Appearance > Background
    click > [Remove Background Image]
    This will remove the background image. You will not be able to restore any customizations.
    click “save changes”

    What you told me is how to remove the custom background, don’t you?

    Now the blog has a custom background image because I didn’t want a ‘black’ background but I’ve already found how to removing a custom image background.

    I would now if is possible to have the background image that cames with the theme after having changed the background… and how to!

    I mean: if I remove my custom image why I can’t get the default image again?

    Hi eccomidate,

    It looks like your blog is showing the default background. Is it now displaying the way you want it to?

    Yes, it is!

    Do you want to know how I have do it?

    I’ve applied the “iTheme2” to another blog (that have never ‘seen’ it).
    This way I have downloaded the background image and then uploaded to my blog.

    Have you ever tried to apply the “iTheme2” to a blog of yours, change the background image and then try to resume the default background image?

    Hi eccomidate,

    It looks like you have also set a custom background color. When you removed the background image, the background color remained. That’s why you couldn’t see the default background. To restore the default, you need to remove both the background image and the custom background color. Something to remember for the future. :)
