iTheme2 Home button on Navigation menu.

Hi I’m looking for help to adjust a button on the iTheme2 menu bar.

I’m looking to edit the home button that’s on the left so it will point to another page of my choosing without changing the default home page. The plan is Home Buttom (Page of my choosing) then I can add a button onto the bar in the menu section that will be for home. The Home Button will be pointing to a login page, I think the home icon will suit this better than just the default page.

I do hope I’ve explained myself well enough.

The iTheme2 theme wasn’t designed with an option that let’s you modify the link for the home icon in the main menu. I tested, and I found that you can get rid of the home icon by creating a custom menu:

Once you’ve done that, there is not a way to add back the icon unless you have purchased the Custom Design upgrade which gives you the option to add custom CSS and you could re-instate the icon for any menu item using custom CSS code if you wanted. Here’s some information about the upgrade if you’re interested:

Thank you for your reply. I’ve since just removed the button all together, seems to be the only thing to do :)

It’s probably the only thing you can do without the Custom Design upgrade. Each theme is unique some have customization options built in and some don’t. A theme can’t provide options for every possible customization though, so that’s what the Custom Design upgrade is for: to let you make visual modifications to theme design beyond what’s offered in the theme options.
