iTheme2 – Removing Border from text/image box
-
I’ve added a couple of social media icons using a text widget. However, I can’t for the life of me figure out how to get rid of the border around the images.
They’re .png files and should have a trasparent bg but it’s white and doesn’t blend in.
It’s my first try at a fledgeling blog and any help would be extremely appreciated.
Here’s the code that i’m using right now:
<img class="alignnone size-thumbnail wp-image-259" title="facebook" src="http://journeyintogeekdom.files.wordpress.com/2012/08/facebook_64x64.png?w=150" alt="" width="64" height="64"><img class="alignnone size-thumbnail wp-image-260" title="twitter" src="http://journeyintogeekdom.files.wordpress.com/2012/08/twitter_64x64.png?w=150" alt="" width="64" height="64" />
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

I checked the sidebar for http://journeyintogeekdom.com/ and I see some social media icons under the heading “Let’s get social” but I don’t see any borders around them.
It sounds like the first set of PNG files may not have really had transparency? I see ripped paper edges around this example image and a working transparent background behind that:
http://journeyintogeekdom.files.wordpress.com/2012/08/facebook_64x64.png?w=150It seems to me you’d have to fix the transparency issue for the image itself, CSS won’t be able to help with an issue like that.
